TSJ is requested to lift contempt of the National Assembly

During the special session to celebrate the 62 anniversary of January 23, 1958, the Speaker of Order, Rafael Marín Jaen, asked the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) to recognize the new directive of the National Assembly (AN) and lift the contempt of this Legislative body

“I request the Supreme Court of Justice to verify the legality and legitimacy of the board of directors so that it proceeds to lift the contempt that affects the decisions of this legislative body”,said Rafael Marín this Thursday from the speakers’ platform of the Protocolary Chamber of the Federal Legislative Palace, where a special session was held to celebrate the 62 anniversary of January 23, 1958, considered as the “Day of return to democracy”.

He indicated that it was public and notorious that the directorate headed by Luis Parra had the requirements established in the Internal and Debate Regulations for the swearing in of the new authorities.

“It is necessary to proceed to lift the contempt to begin to legislate and discuss the great problems of the Republic”, he said.
