Caracas celebrated Bicentennial of Carabobo Battle with a Symphonic Gala

With a symphonic gala named “Sounds of Independence”, Caracas celebrated the Bicentennial of the Battle of Carabobo. More than 200 musicians and actors on stage, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Caracas and the Orfeón Libertador choir, joined to offer a high quality show at the Municipal Theater of Caracas.

Erika Farias, Mayor de Caracas, praised the work done by Maestros Dante Lombardi and Francis Rueda:

“Scenic and musical samples as these invite the Venezuelans to union and raise the commitment to peace and democracy”, explained Farias.

The Minister of People’s Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, reported that the show, which brought together the best of the national art scene, will be presented soon at the Teresa Carreño Theater.

Héctor Campos, president of the Orfeón Libertador choir, said it was a tribute for heroes and heroines of all times.
