AN swore in deputies in ordinary session of Parliament

This Thursday during the ordinary session of the National Assembly (AN) for the 2020-2021 period, were sworn in 11 deputies, principals and alternates, who did not do so on January 5 during the installation of the new Parliament.

The session was held at the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas and was led by the president of the AN, Jorge Rodríguez, together with the first vice president of Parliament, Iris Varela, and the second vice president, Didalco Bolívar.

The regional or circuit deputies sworn in were: Francylis Martínez (Sucre), Ana Fuentes (Monagas), Euribe Guevara (Monagas), Dorelis Castellanos (Caracas), Pablo Alborado (Guárico), Miguel Benavides (Miranda), Orlando Camacho, José Prada (Carabobo), Luisa Gonzales (alternate for Deputy Oscar Figuera), Fabio Cortez (Amazonas) and José Leopoldo Matos (Guárico).

The parliamentarians vowed to comply with and enforce the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, to respect and defend the condition of being Venezuelan, as well as the Venezuelan territory, and to defend the men, women, and children of the homeland.
