Maduro calls drivers to attend the last journey of the National Transportation Census

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, called on the country’s drivers to register on the last day of the National Transportation Census, which began on Wednesday and will end this Friday in all the Bolívar squares throughout the country.

“I extend my call to the drivers, conductors and transporters of the motherland; We are going to fight the gas smuggling mafias with the direct and progressive subsidy system. Participate! “, Said the president through his Twitter account.

The purpose of this census focuses on the subsidy of the price of gasoline to owners of motor vehicles through the Carnet de la Patria (Homeland Card) and the Patria System, and thus determine the nation’s automobile fleet.

According to the National Institute of Traffic and Land (INTT), since the beginning of the journey on August 3, more than 1,500,000 units have been registered in the National Transportation Census.

The professionals of the steering wheel that still do not have the Carnet de la Patria will be able to issue it in the operations that are realized in the points of the Census, nevertheless, the people also will be able to register without having said card.
