US aggression against Venezuela has different spheres and objectives

The multidimensional and multiform aggression against Venezuela, carried out by the United States, has different spheres and objectives, which seek to break the morals of the people and regain political-economic control in the country:

“It is a war, in some ways sublime, in other ways subliminal, and direct in other cases; it is a multidimensional and multiform attack”, said on Wednesday the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza.

“Imperialist capitalism” intends to take from Venezuela what it needs, to exploit its natural resources to be able to sustain its model, and pursues the “exceptional” geographical location in which it is located.

“It is a center of attention and special attraction” for world capitalism, and that is why its insistence on seizing its territory and resources, he stressed during the webinar “The imperialist aggression against Venezuela”.

In addition, Venezuela has a history, processes and popular victories that they seek to break, including the feat of Commander Hugo Chávez to resume the historical thread and the union of the peoples with an anti-imperialist revolution, he stressed.

Arreaza explained that the attacks against the Bolivarian nation “constitute perhaps the clearest example of imperialist aggression in this historical moment”, which includes economic corporations.

“The US is the most representative version of (imperialism) at the moment, but we can also see them in Brussels, Europe and even in the south”, he added at the forum, sponsored by the International University of Communications (Lauicom).

Communication narrative to politically isolate Venezuela:

The Chancellor also indicated that one of the attacks is the political one, to try to isolate Venezuela at the international organizations.

This strategy focuses on the rupture of bilateral relations and pronouncements of governments aligned with Washington; they try to show that Venezuela is “a country that must be put in a particular scenario, because it goes against the current”.

Regarding this, he explained that they use lies in the media spectrum to justify the economic and political actions they take, with a narrative of being a narco-government, corruption, human rights violations, among others.

In Arreaza’s opinion, this seeks to damage the reputation of personalities and state representatives with the communication arm. “Even in soap operas, with an interested version of what happens in Venezuela”, he said.

“It is the published opinion that does its job in this case”, he stressed, while affirming that xenophobia against Venezuelans abroad is also part of the multiform aggression.

USA, one of the most corrupt, violent and terrorist states that violates international law:

USA is one of the most corrupt, violent and terrorist states, which even frequently commits state terrorism, added Arreaza.

He explained that they have designed a legal scaffolding through lawfare (a mode of warfare), using the laws to attack a certain target.

He recalled that the Security Council of the United Nations (UN) is the only body empowered to impose collective measures.

These are a form of expression of multilateralism in correspondence to International Law and the UN Charter. On the other hand, the unilateral measures or “sanctions” imposed by the United States violate the norms of international law, said the minister.

The characteristics of the aggression are transversal, but it is also moral because they seek to destroy the morality of Bolivarians and even of the Venezuelan identity, as explained the Chancellor.
