The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced that the government of the United States (USA) intends to sabotage the 2020 parliamentary elections to elect the National Assembly (AN).
«There is evidence on the plans of the extremist government of Donald Trump to interfere in the elections of 2020 to try to sabotage them … because he knows he cannot win», he denounced during an interview conducted by the Russian channel Rossiya 24.
On August 16, the National President urged the National Electoral Council (CNE) and the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) to advance parliamentary elections.
For this, the ANC appointed a commission to evaluate the progress of the elections of deputies to the National Assembly.
