Maduro thanked the Cuban people for their hospitality during the Sao Paulo Forum

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, thanked his counterpart in Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel and, in general, the people from the Antilles for their hospitality during the visit he made on the occasion of his participation in the 24th Annual Meeting of the Forum of Sao Paulo (FSP), held between July 15 and July 17 in Havana.

In a message through his account on the Twitter social network, the Head of State highlighted the bonds of brotherhood, friendship and cooperation that unite Venezuela and Cuba, and highlighted the path traveled in search of the union of the continent.

During two days, progressive delegations from 113 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean debated the role of the left wing in the Latin American unity, as well as the opening of a space of criticism and construction of new perspectives, in order to reinvigorate the struggle of the nations sovereign before the imperial maneuvers to subdue the region.

In the FSP, the Venezuelan delegation, represented by Adán Chávez, vice president of International Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), presented the formal request for the headquarters of the 25th Annual Meeting of the political consensus platform in 2019.
