President Maduro thanks Cuban doctors for their humanitarian assistance during the pandemic

This Tuesday the Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro thanked, through the Twitter social network and on behalf of the Venezuelan people, to the entire Cuban medical team, as well as his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel, together with the heroic Cuban people, for their solidarity and the support provided to Venezuela during the Covid-19 pandemic:

«We are more united than ever in brotherhood, thanks to our Commanders Fidel and Chávez. A Hug!”, highlighted the National Dignitary on his account on Twitter.

In the early hours of Tuesday afternoon, the Venezuelan authorities decorated Cuban doctors, who received the Francisco de Miranda award for their work against Covid-19 in the country.

For her part, the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, indicated that since last March, Cuban medical missions have saved the lives of thousands of Venezuelans infected by the virus that causes the disease.

In this regard, Rodríguez highlighted the hard work carried out by more than 22,000 Cuban doctors who have been deployed for 5 months throughout the national territory fighting the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
