President Maduro paid tribute to the revolutionary leader Fidel Castro in the Mountain Headquarters

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, headed this Saturday a tribute to Fidel Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, who died this November 25 in Havana, an activity that took place in the 4-F Mountain Headquarters.
The National President expressed his solidarity with the Cuban people before the death of the anti-imperialist historical leader, and urged to continue his legacy and struggle for freedom and social demands.
“We send our word of gratitude to Cuba for giving us in the twentieth and twenty-first century a giant who founded a historic era of dignity and independence … Thanks have to be given to a people who knew how to give birth to a whole generation, The Generation of the centenary, a brilliant, virtuous generation, comparable to the founding generation of Our Americas, extraordinary people”, he said.
He also pointed out that Martí’s libertarian spirit was rescued by the Cuban Revolution, and has remained victorious against the aggressions by the American empire.
“This entire generation of the centenary, which emerged 100 years after the birth of the apostle Martí, received the fundamental influence of his thought, and the frustration that had caused the imperialist intervention of the United States to end the desire for independence. Nothing comes from nothing. The generation of the centenary and the emergence of this powerful, this gigantic leader who knew humanity and who we assume as our own, Fidel Castro Ruz, is the result of historical conditions of struggle of the people of Cuba”, he stressed.
Fidel Castro, was acknowledged for his struggle for the unity of developing countries, the protection of the environment, world peace and self-determination of peoples. He led the Cuban Revolution until 2006.
