14,000 security officers will safeguard Non-Aligned Countries Summit


14 000 officers from the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) and other security forces will be deployed during the development of the 17th Summit of Non-Aligned Countries, to be held next September in Nueva Esparta state.
The information was announced by the Minister for Interior, Justice and Peace, Nestor Reverol, in statements given during a televised contact with VTV, after holding a meeting with the Governor of Nueva Esparta state, Carlos Mata Figueroa, in order to monitor the security devices.
“Today we made a coordination meeting with the authorities of the state in order to treat everything related to the comprehensive security within the framework of this important summit (…) Of course, we are making all the necessary arrangements that will allow to enable the comprehensive preventions for the Presidents” said Reverol.
It is expected that the Non-Aligned Summit will be attended by representatives from 120 nations.
