Padrino: Amnesty Law threatens peace and democracy in the country

Regarding the amnesty law adopted by the opposition bloc in the National Assembly, the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, said that it threatens the peace of the Republic, democracy, institutions and is against the discipline of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
In a meeting with the FANB from Fort Tiuna in Caracas, he said that with this law “Is legalized the violation of human rights, by encouraging the actors of common crimes, because it obviously makes a confession of the crimes committed, it is the rapporteur of a confession of parts, is a law that seeks for self-forgiveness “.
In the articles of this ruling, “the contradiction is evident even from the name itself, and then in its Article 2 thereof, it talks about crimes that are not recognized as crimes, as the right to demonstrate is protected in the Bolivarian Constitution” said the Minister.
This law “violates the rule of law, it puts into question the judgments issued by the courts, it would provoke institutional and moral decay in the people, it would bring nefarious consequences,” he said.
