In several messages published through her account on the Twitter social network, @gestionperfecta, the also sectoral vice president for citizen security and peace offered information on the progress of operations to ensure the protection of the inhabitants of the main sectors of Caracas affected by the action of these criminal gangs.
In a first message, Meléndez pointed out that “the State, fulfilling its constitutional functions, has decided to carry out an operation with the Citizen Security organizations, to restore Peace and tranquility to the communities of the South and West of the city of Caracas”.

“At this moment (5:00 pm), Citizen Security organizations are confronting these armed, murderous, terrorist gangs. We continue advancing until we achieve Peace and the definitive tranquility of these communities”.
In a third message, she assured that “These are structured organized crime groups that have systematically attacked our society, intimidating, wounding and murdering innocent people.”

Following, she thanked the people of Caracas for their support for the actions deployed by the security agencies to put an end to the actions of these terrorist groups, and requested the support of the citizens to contribute whatever would allow finding the whereabouts of the chiefs of these bands:
“We appreciate all the trust, patience and support of the people of Caracas, and we request information to find the whereabouts and achieve the capture of the heads of these murderous and terrorist gangs, through the VEN911 toll-free number”, reads the text.
Likewise, she acknowledged the commitment of the members of the security forces deployed in southeast Caracas: “We warmly thank the uniformed people, our heroes and heroines of the Citizen Security and Peace organizations who, casting fear behind, are demonstrating once again their vocation of service to protect and safeguard the families of our country”.
Finally, she assured that the advance of the operation “is a new demonstration of the conscience, of the historical strength and the loyalty of a people, lovers of Peace and that do not kneel before the pretensions of isolated criminal groups that sow violence, hatred and terror in our communities”.
