US Undersecretary for Political Affairs arrived on Tuesday to Venezuela


Through a communiqué, the United States Department of State, reported the arrival of Thomas Shannon to the Venezuelan Capital (Caracas).
The aim of the meeting of US Under Secretary for Political Affairs of the Foreign Ministry is to continue the dialogue initiated between the two countries on June 14 at the OAS meeting in Dominican Republic, by the Venezuelan Chancellor Delcy Rodriguez and John Kerry, and will have an agenda for two days, starting on Tuesday.
On this subject, the President Nicolas Maduro, extended his welcome greeting to the diplomat, and reported that in the coming hours will establish a discussion on “bilateral relations between the US and the Bolivarian Venezuela, the Revolutionary Venezuela” reiterating that it is positive to give accurate steps towards respectful relations with the American nation, and reaffirmed his desire to achieve processes of a constant dialogue with the Venezuelan opposition, in a serious and transparent manner.
The Venezuelan Chancellor, Delcy Rodriguez, met on Tuesday with the Secretary of State of the United States of America (USA), John Kerry, within the framework of the 46th General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS).
On several occasions, Venezuela has invited the Obama administration to move towards a bilateral relationship with respect for sovereignty and in accordance with the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter.
