Arreaza in the UN: Multilateralism must impose to address important issues for humanity

Jorge Arreaza, Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, participated on Wednesday at the event held by the United Nations (UN) on the occasion of the Day of Multilateralism, from where he said that “multilateralism must impose to address the important issues for humanity”.
He also stressed that “multilateralism, international law and diplomacy are the pillars on which humanity must deal with any issue”. He also indicated that: Venezuela is a country that believes in the powers and that is why we believe in multilateralism, since it groups all the peoples as well as the UN”.
On the other hand, Arreaza expressed “solidarity with Cuba and Iran, countries subject to arbitrary and unilateral measures”, referring to the economic measures that the United States has implemented to the detriment of both nations.
Finally, he reiterated: “We can not stop insisting on the need to reaffirm the validity of international law, present in the founding Charter of the UN”. (…) He also recalled that “we live in a world that faces threats to peace”.
