Julio Chavez: Opposition seeks to sow violence and terror on September 1


The Deputy by the Homeland Bloc, Julio Chavez, denounced this Wednesday that the opposition called to march next September 1 in the capital city with a violent plan under their sleeve, therefore he warned that this type of mobilizations are “Of an insurrectional character.”
When interviewed on Globovision, Chávez said that opposition sectors “are already articulating, along with assassins, paramilitary leaders, to sow violence and terror in Caracas” and recalled that in the past, different spokesmen and leaders of the Chavismo have presented evidences of connections of members of the “Voluntad Popular” party with paramilitary leaders.
In addition, the parliamentarian said that have already been alerted the security agencies, against the possibility of that is raised a scenario similar to that of April 11, 2002, when it was given a coup d’ etat to then President Hugo Chavez.
Chavez also said that the opposition seeks to usurp functions of the State in other countries: “They want to usurp functions of the National Executive, and I think this is really a bad message to the country,” he assured.
Finally, he criticized the way how the current National Assembly (AN) with an opposition majority has generated anxiety and unrest in the population.
