In the evening hours of Wednesday, the former President of the Spanish Government, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, arrived at Miraflores Palace, Caracas, to meet with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro Moros.
Rodriguez Zapatero came to the house of the Bolivarian Government in the company of the Venezuelan Chancellor, Delcy Rodríguez; and the Mayor of the Bolivarian Libertador municipality, Jorge Rodriguez.
Before moving to the office of National President, he was welcomed by the Minister of People’s Power for the Office of the Presidency and Monitoring Governance, Jesus Salazar.
The mission of former President Rodríguez Zapatero is to promote the continuity of the work of facilitating a dialogue between the Venezuelan Government and the national opposition.
This visit to the Miraflores Palace is part of his agenda framed in meetings with representatives from both the Government as from the Venezuelan opposition, in order to continue his work of political mediation.
