The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent a message on Tuesday through his account on the Twitter social network to ratify the commitment of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to the service of the people’s security, as well as of the sovereignty and defense of the nation.
During an evaluation that took place on January 15 from the Operational Strategic Command of the FANB (CEOFANB) of the preparations for the Military Exercises Bicentennial of Angostura 2019, to be held in February, the national president reaffirmed that to consolidate the comprehensive defense of Venezuelan territory and respect for sovereignty and independence are the main objectives of the FANB, as a goal for this year.
He stressed that the members of the military corps have the constitutional and historical reason to come out in defense of the people in any circumstance.
He also reiterated that Venezuela wants to live in peace to see the development of an economic power and consolidate the social model that allows the expansion of civil rights.
