The Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez, showed new evidences of the plans the opposition had for June 23 and 24.
In the midst of a press conference held at Miraflores Palace, Rodríguez showed that the new evidence shows that “Juan Guaidó and Colombian President Iván Duque are the ones involved in the frustrated attacks against President Nicolás Maduro.”
The also vice president for Communication, Tourism and Culture of Venezuela, reiterated that: “There are hypotheses, or speculations, are evidences and testimonies obtained through an intelligence work of months, which allowed us to know what these terrorists were planning ( …) Juan Guaidó tried to mount up a fake by trying to say that he had a flat tire on the highway, and he himself got off to fix it”, he said.
“May the other tire of his car get flat at this same time, because we are going to continue showing part of the more than 59 hours we have of videos and telephone conversations among terrorists, coup plotters and assassins. These are evidences”, he added.
Later, he detailed “Not only we are in the presence of two coups d’etat, but a coup to free the corrupt Baduel, when he stole money when he was Minister of Defense (…)” We have more than 59 hours of videos of over more than 7 terrorist meetings, part of the evidences presented by the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic”, he said.
Among the investigations conducted, Rodriguez said that “the murder plan was to steal some tanks from the La Carlota air base and bring them along with snipers to kill any of the people who descended from the Sucre avenue in Caracas”.
He indicated that these actions show the deep breakdowns that exist within the opposition: “They can continue killing each other, but what is dangerous is that, when they order to assassinate President Nicolás Maduro, Diosdado Cabello, Maikel Moreno, we are talking about a massacre and an extreme outbreak of violence”.
The Chief of the Communications portfolio indicated that in the middle of these attacks there are Israeli people involved. He showed a video where there are delinquents who say they have their target (President Maduro, his wife and their children) watched 24 hours a day.
Finally, he stressed that were presented evidences of a group of police officers who had been recruited for these purposes, and who have ties to Colombian drug trafficking.
