The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, affirmed that the nation is heading towards a historic political process, with «multiple possibilities to participate, give opinions, decide and be protagonists in each of its stages.»
The Head of State, in a message through social networks, exalted that all citizens have the opportunity to raise their voices from their trenches, to be part of the great transformation processes that Venezuela is experiencing: «Let’s take advantage of every opportunity to perfect the 7 transformations,» he stressed. «Let’s exercise the muscle of democracy!» he exclaimed.
He also stressed that the strength of an entire country «will amalgamate and configure the historic political process” with the Popular Consultations, the selection of candidates for governorships; «That is a hornet’s nest in the states,» he said.
In addition, the national leader added that the people will elect the deputies of the National Assembly this year, «which is vital for the stability of the next 5 years (…) We are in the process of constitutional reform (…) Opportunities to participate, give opinions, decide and be part of the historical processes that we all have.»
Finally, he stressed that for Venezuela “it is vital that this Organic Law of the Homeland Plan for the National Development Plan of the 7 Transformations be debated and that the people, in this final phase, perfect each one of the transformations that are proposed simultaneously. I am sure that we will have the best national development plan that we have ever made collectively”.
