State security forces, including the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), have seized more than 22,000 kilograms of different kinds of drugs, which come from Colombia, as reported on Sunday the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros:
“Venezuela is breaking a record this year in seizure of drugs that come from Colombia. That country is a failed state that gave its borders to the generators of violence, smugglers, drug traffickers and paramilitaries», said the head of state, from the Military Academy in Caracas, where was held the commemorative act of 82 years of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
Likewise, President Maduro referred to the conspiracy maneuvers carried out from Colombia, recalling the participation of elements of that country in assassination with a degree of frustration carried out on August 4, 2018.
“From Colombia came terrorism turned into a drone, they tried to assassinate us, they came for everyone, they wanted to stab the peace and sovereignty of the country. A year later we say that we are standing, alive and victorious», said the national president.
For his part, the general commander of the GNB, Fabio Zavarce Pabón, highlighted the deployment of this military component throughout the national territory to guarantee order and security.
He explained that 25 commands, 25 regiments of homes of the People, 245 detachments, 1085 platoons and 286 control points or citizen attention are active throughout the country.
He also said they are in full coordination with the Air command and the Coastal Surveillance command.
“We are throughout the national territory in the air, in the sea and on land. This shows that we are dismantling the thesis of the failed State, of the outlaw States that want to place us, ”he said.
