First group of Venezuelan migrants receives health assistance

Health personnel from La Guaira state, under the guidelines of the “Vuelta a la Patria” (Return to the Homeland) plan, assist the first group of compatriot migrants who returned to Venezuela last Monday, February 10, with medical, epidemiological, psychological and nutritional evaluations.

The Minister of People’s Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, reported through her social networks that the actions are carried out «as part of the preventive health protocol, to rule out the presence of viral or endemic communicable diseases»; and with this initiative the National Government reinforces its commitment to the protection and well-being of Venezuelans who return to the country in search of new opportunities.

On Monday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced that, through the Plan Vuelta a la Patria, 190 compatriots from the United States (US) returned to the country, in a procedure carried out through the country’s flagship airline, Conviasa.

The national leader affirmed that it represents an advance of the Zero Agenda proposed to the United States government, which is also related to the dignified treatment of compatriots and respect for migrants, who were victims of the deception of the extreme right wing and of the sanctions and blockade against the country, which resulted in the loss of 99 percent of the nation’s income.
