In the framework of the commemoration of Youth Day, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated the Antonio José de Sucre International School of Youth Leadership on Wednesday afternoon.
The launch of this institution responds to an instruction issued by the Venezuelan head of state, during the 16th anniversary of the Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), on September 12, 2024.
On that occasion, the Dignitary said that Venezuelan youth has much to give in the coming years and considered that from the new training center, transformations and the construction of a society of equals, with ethics and morals, should be promoted to lead the coming years of the 21st century.
The Antonio José de Sucre International School of Youth Leadership aims to train young people from 15 to 35 years old in leadership and strategic areas, with a focus on developing critical capacity and revolutionary and social values.
More than 2,000 young people from the Socialist Youth of Venezuela participate in this activity, in person and under the videoconference modality, in the 5,338 Communal Circuits of the country.
Also present are young people from the Gran Polo Patriótico (Great Patriotic Pole) Simón Bolívar, also representatives of the founding generation of the JPSUV and international guests.
This day, together with President Nicolás Maduro, is a good time to commemorate the 211 years of the Battle of La Victoria, a heroic conquest that allowed the life of the Second Republic to be preserved and so surprised the Liberator Simón Bolívar that he granted General José Félix Ribas the title of «Victory of the tyrants.»
Héctor Rodríguez assumes the rectorship of the International School of Leadership:
President Nicolás Maduro appointed Héctor Rodríguez as the rector of the Antonio José de Sucre International School of Youth Leadership. The President instructed Rodríguez to be completely involved in the start, development and historical future of this school.
He also pointed out that a systematization has been carried out jointly with the Communal Circuits, the Ministry of People’s Power for Youth, the Great Mission Young Venezuela, and in this way, in terms of the organization of work tables in the 5,334 communal circuits, with the objective of strengthening the protagonistic, participatory democracy and the construction of a new State.
Through these actions, basic courses will be carried out aimed at approximately 900 people, of which 500 are Venezuelan students and 400 international youth, who will form part of these pillars, which will contribute to the defense of sovereignty, through the development of knowledge, studies and anti-fascist leadership.
For his part, Minister Héctor Rodríguez said that in the educational sector there is an estimated 140,000 spokespersons, who will be trained in academic strengthening, in order to dedicate this task to the growth of youth and their capabilities, in order to lead human teams, projects and build consensus within their precincts.
Rodríguez described this educational line as a special plan to forge new leaders who develop their political potential in the country, and praised the importance that the President has given to the training of Venezuelan youth.
The head of State added that young people must build a new leadership in these times, with deep principles, values and a clear philosophy, with capacities that create the best way to act in the construction of the new State.
