The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, welcomed this Wednesday the conversation between the presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, respectively:
“(…) they talked about peace, new relations and a different world,” said the Venezuelan head of State, who also expressed his hope for the world to continue on its path towards a multi-center and multi-polar vision, in which the culture, identity and right to exist of all the peoples of the South are respected.
The national dignitary pointed out that these premises for the well-being of the people must be accompanied by the construction of a model that corresponds “with our history, identity and respects the right to peace, to the future,” in order to “end the conspiracies to destabilize Venezuelan society.”
From the Antonio José de Sucre International School of Youth Leadership and on the basis of the situations that must be avoided at all costs, he mentioned what happened with the scandal of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
“How many millions of dollars did they give to Juan Guaidó? They say in cash, directly, more than 5 million dollars.” Immediately, he questioned: “Do you know what can be done with 5 billion dollars? How many schools, how many hospitals can be built?”
In this reflection, the Venezuelan President asked the opposition, who made people believe that Juan Guaidó was president: “Did you or your family receive any benefit from that money?”, he questioned.
Contrary to this, he recalled that those characters who have undermined tranquility, peace and have strangled the national economy “stole everything, because for them being the opposition in Venezuela became a lucrative business and now they are multimillionaires living in mansions, this being a complaint” – he said – “that I have been presenting for years, but now, you see, it comes out on the networks, everything that we denounced, it is true”.
