The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, released this Wednesday, February 12, through his social networks an article entitled «UN humanitarian aid reached 3.5 million people in Venezuela during 2024», where in turn the minister reveals the truth about the destination of those funds.
«Some bureaucrats of the United Nations System intend to whitewash the opposition extremists who looted the funds destined for Venezuelans,» he said.
«They sell us misleading figures to cover up the scandal that is about to break out: the «aid» from USAID and other agencies never really reached those who needed it most. It is the action of mafia and scam diplomacy,» he said.
In this sense, he details that this money ended up in the pockets of extremist opponents such as Juan Guaidó and Leopoldo López, in bank accounts abroad, in financing for media campaigns, organization of riots, in the purchase of weapons and in the supply of drugs to fuel violence in the streets.
“Now, in the face of the imminent fall of the house of lies, they are releasing inflated reports to pretend that they did something. What there was was an operation of corruption and sabotage, disguised as “humanitarian aid,” he said.
