The Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that in the last 24 hours were detected 807 new infections due to the new coronavirus, of which 794 are community cases and 13 are imported cases; with these figures Venezuela accounts for 41,965 since the start of the pandemic.

She indicated via Twitter that Caracas returned to the point as the epicenter of the pandemic, reporting 290 cases, Miranda state 194 and Táchira 104.

Of the parishes of the capital city, she explained that Catia (Sucre), registered (42) new infections, El Valle (35) and El Paraíso (19). “With active cases in its 22 parishes”, she said.

“Likewise, we report that today 8 Venezuelans have died by Covid-19: 1 woman, 72 years old, and 2 men, 62 and 60 years old respectively, (in) Táchira; 2 men 52 and 53 years old, in the Capital District; 1 man, 64 years old, in Miranda state; a 60-year-old man, in Zulia; a 66-year-old man in Anzoátegui”, explained Delcy Rodríguez.

In this sense, she explained that in Venezuela out of the 41,965 cases of Covid-19 registered, a total of 8,683 are active, 32,931 have recovered (a 78%), 3,430 are in Hospitals, 5,064 in CDI, 189 in Private Clinics, and the unfortunate figure of 351 deceased.

For her part, she announced that the Bolivarian Government “has faced this pandemic through the house-by-house method with expanded and personalized screening. To date in the country have been carried out 1,723,801 tests for the early detection of Covid-19, which represents 57,460 tests per million inhabitants”, explained the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez.

Finally, she added that “this Commission, following the instructions of President Nicolás Maduro, works tirelessly hand in hand with the entire National Executive to stop the chain of infections and save lives without any distinction, and guaranteeing treatments to the people for free” , detailed the senior official of the National Executive, Delcy Rodríguez.
