Legislative Branch swears in Nicolás Maduro as President of the Republic 2025-2031

The highest authority of the Legislative Branch, deputy Jorge Rodríguez (PSUV/Capital District), swore in Nicolás Maduro Moros as constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela this Friday, January 10.

Maduro swore before the Magna Carta, in the Elliptical Hall of the Federal Legislative Palace, headquarters of the National Assembly, and before more than 200 international delegates present, that he will fulfill his mandate and all the obligations of his investiture: «I swear it by history and by my life,» he said.

Rodríguez then placed the collar and presidential sash on him, embroidered by artist Omar Cruz and dozens of boys and girls, men and women, grandparents, who participated in the creation of this symbol that will reflect the cohesion of the people and their president:

«I will fulfill all the obligations of the Constitution and the laws of the Republic. This new presidential term will be the period of peace, prosperity, equality and new democracy,» declared the President during his swearing-in.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries from different nations, as well as more than 100 diplomatic representations from around the world. Delegations from Colombia, Cuba, Honduras, Russia, Algeria and China, among others, joined together to celebrate this milestone in Venezuelan history, highlighting the international interest and support for the revolutionary process.
