Venezuela denounces instigation and harassment by the US to break sovereignty

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela denounced on Thursday a campaign of harassment and instigation on the part of the government of the United States (USA) against the South American nation in order to break its sovereignty, evidenced in its participation in the failed coup d’etat registered on April 30.
Through a statement, published on the website of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Venezuela said that this campaign is being endorsed by several countries in the world in order to “overthrow the Venezuelan constitutional government.”
“Throughout the days since then, Venezuela has been receiving from all corners of the planet the declarations of unreserved condemnation of these acts by governments and organizations of all political tendencies, with the exception of the usual government representatives of the United States and the group of satellite countries that have been advancing the systematic aggression against Venezuela, who have declared admitting not only their support, but even their responsibility in these events”, says the text.
This Thursday, several countries of the continent and members of the European Union spoke out against the arrest of Deputy Edgar Zambrano, who had his parliamentary immunity acquiesced on Tuesday for his direct participation in the failed coup d’etat that left a balance of five deceased and 233 detainees throughout the country.
On Tuesday, the National Constituent Assembly approved the acquiescence of Zambrano’s parliamentary immunity, as well as that of deputies Luis Florido, Henry Ramos Allup, Richard Blanco, Marianela Magallanes, José Simón Calzadilla and Américo De Grazia; also for their participation in the coup d’état promoted by the US Government with the support of the Venezuelan extreme right wing.

Venezuela denounces US harassment campaign that insists on breaking sovereignty of the country
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela considers it necessary to expand information in relation to the recent attempted coup d’etat of April 30 of this year.
As Venezuela has been denouncing since last January, the United States instigates, promotes, organizes and finances an irresponsible campaign that aims to produce a change of government by force, demonstrating its contempt for sovereignty, peace and democracy.
In this context, the world has witnessed the reckless operation carried out by civilian and military elements last Tuesday, April 30, with the avowed objective of overthrowing the Venezuelan constitutional government, which was suppressed and defeated in less than twenty-four hours thanks to the support of the sovereign people and the loyalty and democratic commitment of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.
Throughout the days since then, Venezuela has been receiving from all corners of the world the pronouncements of unreserved condemnation of these acts by governments and organizations of all political tendencies, with the exception of the usual representatives of the government of the United States and the group of satellite countries that have been advancing the systematic aggression against Venezuela, who have declared admitting not only their support, but even their responsibility in these events.
In contrast to this majority tendency, the world is witnessing how some governments have decided to issue unsolicited opinions regarding the administration of justice in Venezuela, allowing the reckless posture of questioning judicial prosecution and the consequent deprivation of freedom of citizens openly involved in the coup against the constitutional order.
It should be unnecessary to remember that the crimes committed by the protagonists of these events, in order to promote the overthrow of the constitutional government, are contemplated in all the legal systems of the planet, including those of the countries that intend to carry out these questions.
It would be necessary to ask the governments of those countries that, arrogantly, allow themselves to point to Venezuela and question its democratic quality, if faced with an equivalent attempt against the constitutional order, its justice systems would incur abandonment of their functions and would refrain from prosecute those responsible for such crimes.
Behind this seemingly foolish position, the governments concerned are perfectly aware that they are lending their voices to the nefarious choir that their leader is directing to trigger situations of internal political instability that justify the foreign intervention that the American warmongering factors have been announcing without any flush.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will continue to analyze in detail the hostile attitudes of these governments and will be able to take decisions that guarantee the protection of the State and its institutions, in defense of the Republic and the rights of its People, under the unwavering precept of its sole ruler: The Bolivarian Constitution of 1999.
Again, coup plotting will be defeated by the Constitution, the democratic institutions and the indomitable courage of the Venezuelan people. In Venezuela, peace and democracy shall overcome.
