Venezuela will not allow Guyana to unilaterally dispose of maritime territory that has not yet been delimited, violating the provisions of the Geneva agreement, assured the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
Through a message published this Wednesday on her account on the X social network, Rodríguez emphasized that our country will assert its legitimate rights over the Essequibo territories:
“Guyana violates the Geneva Agreement and its own sovereignty by making offerings to transnational interests. We will not allow Guyana to unilaterally dispose of maritime territory that has not yet been delimited. Venezuela will assert its legitimate rights forever. The sun of Venezuela is born in Essequibo,” she said.
In this same message, the vice president repudiated the accusations of the OAS Secretary General, Luis Almagro, who, also through X, tried to defend the interests of transnational companies and take the side of Guyana:
“This absurdity is always present when it comes to violating International Law, the sovereignty of States and their territorial integrity. @Almagro_OEA2015 joins the clique of Exxon Mobil employees to attack Venezuela,” highlighted Rodríguez.

Imperialism is the origin of the usurpation attempt:
The Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, also joined this Tuesday in rejecting the illegal bidding round for oil blocks currently being carried out by the Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana in maritime areas pending delimitation between both countries.
Through his account on the X social network, Padrino López directly accused imperialism, behind this illegal process, “which is done by putting at the vanguard the transnationals pack in order to satisfy its excessive style of energy consumption”.
“Imperialism is the origin of the attempted usurpation of Guayana Essequiba, and it does so by using the pack of transnational corporations as the vanguard to satisfy their excessive style of energy consumption. Our exit to the Atlantic is not subject to any litigation. Here you will find a forceful answer! “He wrote on the social network.
