AN urges the Executive to break relations with the Kingdom of Spain

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, asked the president of the Foreign Policy Commission and its members to work on a resolution to be peremptorily approved by the Plenary to urge the Executive to immediately break relations with the Kingdom of Spain.

Amidst the debate held in an extraordinary session this Wednesday, he rejected the rude and interventionist decision adopted by the Spanish extreme right wing in the Congress of Deputies of Spain to disown the popular victory of Nicolás Maduro Moros as Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Rodríguez urged to prepare a strong and draconian resolution «where the Government of the Bolivarian Republic is urged to break commercial relations as well. May all flights from Spain to and from Venezuela on Spanish airlines cease, and may all commercial activities of Spanish companies cease immediately,” he said.

Let them keep their murderers, their coup plotters, their fascists, their violent people, let them keep that rabble,” he said regarding the refuge that Spain has become for fugitives from Venezuelan justice.

Regarding the interference of the Spanish Parliament in Venezuela, the parliamentarian stressed that it is the most brutal attack by the Kingdom of Spain against the country since the times of independence:

What the Congress of Deputies did is equivalent to a declaration of war against the people of Venezuela and against the legitimately constituted Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and we will not accept it,” he said.
