President Maduro welcomes parliamentary commission in charge of notifying about the installation of the NA

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, received this Wednesday the parliamentary commission that has the task of informing the Executive about the installation of the National Assembly that will rule in the 2021-2026 term.

The event took place at Miraflores Palace in Caracas, with the participation of the president of the new National Assembly (NA), Jorge Rodríguez, and deputies Bernabé Gutiérrez, Javier Bertucci, Luis Romero, Timoteo Zambrano, Iris Varela, Didalco Bolívar, Hermann Escarrá and Génesis Garvett, among others.

From the Simón Bolívar Hall of Miraflores Palace, Rodríguez stated that the document states that the National Assembly has been installed in an “absolute, peaceful and constitutional manner”.

“As a show of respect between the powers, as a practice that had been carried out in a customary way and unfortunately was interrupted by those who saw from their position in Parliament, an opportunity to attack and violate the Constitution,” he said.

He reiterated that “Venezuela has a solid Parliament that will fulfill its legislative function, with the sacred precept of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic and will accompany the people in their struggle in their search for the future.”
