President Maduro rejects attack against former President Donald Trump

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, expressed solidarity this Saturday with the former president of the United States, Donald Trump, for the attack suffered during an electoral rally in Pennsylvania.

During his visit to the town of Guacara, in Carabobo state, the head of state indicated: “We received news that in the United States of America there was an attack against former president and presidential candidate Donald Trump. I want, on behalf of all of Venezuela and our people, to reject and repudiate the attack against the former president, and wish him a speedy recovery. God bless the people of the United States and may give them peace and tranquility.”

We have been adversaries, but I wish President Trump health and long life, and I repudiate that attack. I was also the victim of an attack and 100 attempts to kill me, but God always put his hand on it and here we are, alive, healthy and victorious, ready to face the future,» he stressed.

It should be noted that according to international media, a shooter has been killed and one of those attending the rally has also died and another is injured. Likewise, Donald Trump’s spokesman, Steven Cheung, announced that the former president «is fine and thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action.»
