Venezuela and St Lucia will expand bilateral cooperation relations

The Prime Minister of St Lucia, Allen Chastanet, received on Wednesday the Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, in the middle of the tour that meets the Venezuelan diplomat through the Caribbean with the intention of strengthening and consolidating relations with the countries of the region.

During the meeting, the bilateral agenda was revised with a view to deepening cooperation ties in the area of security and the fight against crime, including the crime of drug trafficking.

“It was a frank meeting, with a view to the future (…) we saw the regional situation, the world situation. We are very grateful to St Lucia, to its people and to Prime Minister Chastanet; we are going to continue working together”, manifested Chancellor Arreaza at the end of the talks.

On Tuesday, the Venezuelan diplomat traveled to Antigua and Barbuda to meet with the island’s prime minister, Gaston Browne, with the purpose of consolidating and deepening binational ties.
