President Maduro and the Muslim community in Venezuela celebrate the end of Ramadan 2024

At Miraflores Palace in Caracas, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, celebrated the end of Ramadan with the Muslim community, with a dinner aimed at establishing meeting points for spiritual development in the nation. At the event, it was remembered that this 2024, the month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community, was marked by the massacre and unfounded tragedy in Palestine by Israeli Zionism:

Today is the end of Ramadan. As brothers that we are, here in Venezuela, we live together in peace and brotherhood, as it should be, Islam, Christianity and all religious beliefs and practices. Muslims are our brothers, in God, for struggles, for life and for a better world that we will build together. “Ramadan comes to an end, in a year where it was marked by tragedy and genocide against the people of Palestine,” said the head of state, who reiterated his wish for the end of the genocide against Palestine and the freedom of that people.

For his part, the religious leader of the Mosque, Ibrahim Ibim Abdul Aziz Al – Ibrahim, Sheikh Omar Kaddoura, said: “In the mosque we teach that we are all creatures of God, and we are equal, of common origin. We have to understand and make everyone understand that we are all human beings and that means that we are brothers. That is true peace, that is what we need to fill our souls with. Our meeting here is to affirm our citizenship and our cooperation, we are sincerely shaking hands.”

The meeting takes place after dialogues between the Muslim community and the National Government, which began on March 10, which allows strengthening integration mechanisms and exchanging perspectives from the Muslim faith based on unity and well-being.
