Maduro: May the blessing of the Virgin of Coromoto always be with us

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, paid tribute this Tuesday to the Virgin of Coromoto, that on May 1, 1942 was proclaimed as Patroness of Venezuela.

Through his account in the Twitter social network, he wrote: “76 years ago the Vatican declared Our Lady of Coromoto as Celestial Patron of Venezuela. May her blessing be with us always!”

Pope Pius XII declares the Blessed Virgin Mary Our Lady of Coromoto, as Celestial and Principal Patroness of Venezuela, in October 1944.

The Virgin of Coromoto was proclaimed Patroness of Venezuela by the Episcopate in session of May 1, 1942.

The image is today in a custody of gold encrusted with precious stones, canonically crowned as Principal Patroness of Venezuela. In the place of the apparition there was a monument made by the Venezuelan artist Antonio Rodríguez del Villar, who is also the author of the monument of Carabobo
