President Maduro summons a delegation of Celac and UN observers for elections in Venezuela

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, summoned this Friday a delegation of observers from the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) and the United Nations (UN), to participate in the next presidential elections. to be held in the country:

“Venezuela is preparing for absolutely reliable, transparent elections with an electoral system that I would like Celac to know about, and be able to disseminate beyond manipulation, distortion and lies,” said the head of state in his speech during the 8th Celac Summit, held in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

He mentioned before the heads of state and guests at Celac, the Broad Agreement of Caracas, signed in the National Assembly (AN), with the participation of 43 political parties in the country, social movements, business federations, all religious currents. and intellectuals to establish the foundations of full guarantees for a reliable electoral process.

In that sense, he requested Celac to evaluate “the possibility of preparing a delegation of international observers to join the process of preparation, conduct and development of the presidential elections from this day until the elections are set and held, and also to the General Secretariat of the UN, to go see the reality of a country that has been perfecting its consultation systems, its political systems, its electoral system, beyond manipulation, imperial pressures and political pressures.”

He recalled at this new summit that Venezuela will hold its 31st election in 2024 in 25 years of the Bolivarian Revolution, which has resulted in the country having the highest rate of electoral and consultative processes in the last three decades on the continent and the world.

In this scenario, he denounced that there is a permanent campaign against Venezuela, in which they allege that it is a country of “tyranny, violation of civil rights, it is a permanent campaign to justify the unjustifiable in our country.”
