The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, met on Wednesday with delegations of the Government of Colombia and representatives of the National Liberation Army (ELN) in Miraflores Palace, as part of the formal agreement signed earlier at the Yellow House (Seat of the Chancellory) in Caracas, to advance in the peace negotiations with the Neo-Ganadine country.
«We have welcomed at office one in Miraflores to the delegations of the Government of Colombia and the ELN (…) this is a day of good news for the peace of South America (…) for our beloved Colombia (…) I have ratified them all the: moral, political, ethical, human support of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela to these processes of understanding and construction of the path to peace in Colombia», said the President in a broadcast by Venezolana de Television.
He congratulated Colombia and President Juan Manuel Santos for being a «persistent seeker of peace» and ratified to him once again, «the full support of Venezuela».
«It’s been difficult, there have been several years of talks (…) Hopefully, with the blessing of God and the Liberator, sooner rather than later we will have the good news of the signing of the peace agreement,» concluded the President.
