The President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, described this Wednesday as an action of “piracy and theft”, the decision of the British court to disown the legitimate authorities of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) and thus preventing the State from making use of its gold reserves deposited in the Bank of England:
“Venezuela must know that it is an act of piracy and theft, and the world must know that there is no legal certainty in London or in the Bank of England, that at any time any country or any central bank in the world can be robbed of its international reserves, its gold reserves, that is the true truth”, said the Venezuelan head of state.
In statements offered within the framework of a new Productive Wednesday journey devoted to the Entrepreneurship Engine, the national ruler reiterated that “The gold that is in the vaults of England belongs to the Central Bank of Venezuela and to all Venezuelans”.
And now also the Emtrasur plane:
Similarly, President Maduro denounced the intention of the government of the United States (USA) to illegally seize a Venezuelan plane held on Argentine soil, a plane used by the government of Venezuela to bring humanitarian aid to the countries of the Caribbean and Africa, as well as bringing medicines, acquired from China, Russia and India, to the country:
«The plane, which played a fundamental role in the humanitarian life of Venezuela, is being seized in Argentina and they intend to steal it from us with the order of an imperial court in the state of Florida,» he asserted.
Faced with this new aggression, President Nicolás Maduro asked the people of Argentina “for all their support to recover the plane that belongs to Venezuela and that intends to be stolen after being seized, just like how they intend to steal our gold.»
In this regard, President Maduro reiterated that Venezuela will continue to fight until it recovers its gold from international reserves seized in the United Kingdom:
“We are going to continue fighting. We are not standing idly by. We will continue protesting to recover the country’s assets (…) assets abroad such as Citgo, Monómeros and bank accounts in countries around the world and now also the Emtrasur plane that continues being illegally retained in Argentina (…) The moment of truth will come , and that wealth, those goods, that gold, those airplanes, which belong to the Venezuelan State, we will recover”, he added.
From the Teresa Carreño Theater Cultural Complex, in Caracas, where he led the this Productive Wednesday work journey, the national president affirmed that despite the years of illegal and unilateral sanctions from the US and European countries that have cruelly impacted the the life and human rights of Venezuelans, «the country has been recovering”.
He affirmed that Venezuela has resumed its economic growth of prosperity «and we are on that path and no one will take us out.»
«We are going to continue to fight and while we fight, we do not sit idly by, neither in lament nor in ayayay (groans), we go from protests to proposals, to work and entrepreneurship,» he concluded.
