President Maduro praised the work of the Red Cross

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the workers and volunteers of the International Red Cross on the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, as stated in a message published in his official account in the Twitter social network.
The Red Cross has its origin in the idea of the Geneva merchant Henry Dunant, who had to live the cruel combats that took place in the Europe of his time, after the Solferino Battle, which took place on June 24, 1859. The Venezuelan Society of the Red Cross, was born in Caracas on January 30, 1895, as part of the events organized to commemorate the Centennial of the Birth of Marshal Antonio José de Sucre, who was the hero of the Venezuelan Independence that cared the most about humanizing the war.
