“Social, economic, and political dialogue has been key to economic recovery, to build with our own efforts a new productive model, social dialogue has been key to being able to take care of our people and the social wounds created by the sanctions,” highlighted the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during the solemn opening session of the 2024 Judicial Year.
Likewise, he emphasized that cultural dialogue has also been fundamental to reinforce the elements of national identity, as well as political dialogue for the integration of an opposition bloc during the 2020 parliamentary elections, and the gubernatorial and mayoral elections of 2021.
When referring to political dialogue, he highlighted the agreements signed in Barbados, they have been fully complied with, however he pointed out that the extreme right wing interprets gestures of sincerity as signs of weakness; “So, you have to speak clearly to them and tell them not to make mistakes. «No to blackmail, no to threats, no to violence, no to the North American empire.»
He added that the TSJ’s decision regarding the disqualifications of opposition leaders is a definitive ruling, and «no surname or oligarchy is above the Constitution, the laws, nor the Public Powers, much less the people.»
When referring to the conspiracies on the part of the Venezuelan right, in alliance with the American empire, he stressed that the Bolivarian Government has always opted for respect for the Constitution and dialogue, to resolve any conflict. “Do not make a mistake with the people, nor with the Armed Forces, nor with the Public Powers.”
