The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, instructed to create the historical characterization of the socialist missions, through the testimony of the mission men and women.
The main objective is to make a new communicational policy, “Let’s put the missions in front of the entire policy, the achievements of the Bolivarian Revolution, which sometimes becomes invisible, and there truly are millions of achievements in happiness, in equality, in social security, in life”.
He explained that this is a theoretical work, which should characterize three historical phases of the missions, since they started 14 years ago up to the present; and a testimonial work that expresses how the people has lived the missions in the struggle for the Revolution and the Socialist Homeland.
The historical moments that should be characterized are:
1. First stage from 2003 to 2005, the start of missions and the defeating of the Coup d’ Etat and the economic war of back then, “and how the missions cohered the people and allowed the recovery of the country”, he said.
2. A Second stage of expansion and economic, social growth, and missions, from 2006 to 2013.
3. A Third stage of resistance against the imperialist aggression and the economic blow, from 2013 to 2016. “Without the missions and great missions it would have been impossible to defend the Revolution and the legacy of Hugo Chavez in recent years,” assured the Head of State.
In order to finalize, he added a fourth stage, projected into the future, from 2016 to 2019, of the new revolutionary offensive of the missions and the Bolivarian Socialism, defeating the oligarchic conspiracy.
