President Maduro thanks civil-military union on DEC-03

To the people and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, thank you. Thank you for the historic step we took on December the 3rd. Thanks to the union of the people and the Armed Forces. Thanks to the power of public institutions, to the Electoral Power, to the national union of all sectors and to God.”

The words correspond to the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, who pointed out that on December 03, popular sovereignty exercised its right to consult on the controversy over the Essequibo territory.

During a meeting with members of the Military High Command of the Bolivarian Revolution, commanders of the Strategic Comprehensive Defense Region (REDI) and the Integral Defense Operational Zone (ZODI), from the Ayacucho Hall, located in Miraflores Palace, the President recalled that the Essequibo controversy will be debated within the framework of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

In this regard, he rejected any interference by external governments in the discussion of the Venezuela and Guyana controversy.

In context, he exalted the rebellious and revolutionary character of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), while congratulating the Venezuelan delegation that accompanied him on December 14 to the meeting for dialogue and peace in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines:

I look deeply into the eyes and soul of the Venezuelan military and I know that we have a cohesive Bolivarian National Armed Force, united with combative morale through the skies and we are on the path of the historical milestone of Venezuela, which is our Guayana Esequiba,” expressed the Dignitary.
