Pedro Pablo Fernández, former coordinator of the presidential campaign of Henri Falcón and leader of the Copei party, informed from Miraflores Palace that President Maduro invited them to participate in the national dialogue
“He told us to come with a broad agenda, but we have only come to deal with the issue of political prisoners and nothing else. We brought the list of all the political prisoners, going through Leopoldo López and Iván Simonovis. We all want them in freedom and it would be a great step for the Government to move towards dialogue”, he said.
Likewise, he said that: “If the Government takes concrete steps, we will come with a broad agenda, where we want to propose a dialogue to resolve the country’s economic and social problems”.
For the former coordinator of the Presidential campaign of Henry Falcon, the economic agenda is the most important, in his opinion is not to be discussed with politicians: “It should be discussed with industrialists, with the productive sectors of the country”, he said.
He said that they want a change of Government, but “as long as we do not change the Government, we want the Government to change, we want the Government to rectify and apply economic measures to solve the problem of poverty that has increased in the country”.
