Chancellor Arreaza warns the Colombian peace process is being buried

The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, lamented that while in Colombia the topic of the relationship with the United States Government centers the political debate, the assassination of social leaders continues.
The Venezuelan chief of the diplomat’s appointment comes one day after the murder of the leader of the Revolutionary Alternative Forces of the Commons (FARC) party, Wilson Saavedra, and the indigenous leader Daniel Rojas, who was president of the Communal Action Board of the Caloto municipality in the department of Cauca.
With the death of Saavedra, there are more than 130 ex-combatants of the insurgent group killed in Colombia since the signing of the Peace Agreement.
In his Twitter account, Arreaza described as shameful the debate being waged in the neighboring country, after Colombian Foreign Minister Holmes Trujillo responded to the accusations made by former President César Gaviria, who accused the government of Iván Duque of subordinate or act in complicity with the US.
