AN Installs Venezuela-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group

In the Shields room of the Federal Legislative Palace, the National Assembly (AN) officially installed the Venezuela-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group, whose presidency was in charge of deputy Miguel Pérez Abad, according to an institutional press release.

According to published information, this group is made up of deputies Luis Romero —in the vice presidency—, Manuel Hernández, Maritza Guzmán, Antonio Rumbos, Blanca Rodríguez, Miguel Salazar, Leonel González, Rodolfo Zerpa, Gustavo Navas, Mairet Castillo and Yorkman. Aguiar.

Deputy Pérez Abad declared that the installation of this group supposes great responsibilities and challenges. He commented that the first task to be carried out will be to support the visit to Venezuela of the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, scheduled for the coming weeks.

He explained that the visit of the president of Turkey is a retribution and expression of affection towards the Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, who visited that country on June 8 to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation.

He added that the relationship between the two presidents goes beyond the governmental character between nations, since it is a genuine friendship that unites the two States.

In addition, he expressed that the installation of the group summons Venezuela and Turkey to advance in a common work agenda with orientation on humanitarian issues such as tourism, the laws of both parliaments, science, technology, development and productive capacity.
