The Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that the Presidential Commission for the Prevention, Attention and Control of Covid-19, was activated to analyze the new B.1.1.529 OMICRON variant.
Through her account on the Twitter social network, @delcyrodriguezv, the vice president urged the people to be careful to prevent contagion by Covid-19.
In the last 24 hours, 650 new cases of Coronavirus were detected in Venezuela.
All the cases are community transmissions, and Mérida state presented the highest number of infections, 192 active in 6 municipalities, followed by Miranda with 97 and Portuguesa state with 89 cases.
430,696 is the total number of infections, 417,831 recovered patients, 7,727 current active cases and 5,138 total deaths. Unfortunately in the last day, 7 Venezuelans died.
77.5 percent of the population is vaccinated. People who have not yet been immunized can go to any vaccination center.
