“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as a national jurisdiction, will adopt the necessary measures to ensure the effective administration of justice, in accordance with international standards with the support and active commitment of the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, by virtue of the principle of complementarity”, as stated by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tareck William Saab,
He highlighted the importance of the agreements signed between (Prosecutor) Karim Khan and the Venezuelan State, which establish mechanisms to improve cooperation and facilitate the effective performance of the Prosecutor’s mandate in the territory of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as well as to agree on means and mechanisms that contribute effectively to the efforts of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, to carry out authentic national actions in accordance with article 17 of the Rome Statute:
“It is clear that we have nothing to hide, and that within the framework of this understanding memorandum that we salute and congratulate, it will be shown that we have advanced in achieving justice for all victims”, said prosecutor Saab.
