Formed General Staff of Gran Misión Chamba Juvenil

With the goal of strengthening the lines and vertices of the Gran Misión Chamba Juvenil (Great Mission Youth Job), President Nicolás Maduro instituted this Wednesday the General Staff of this social program, with the orientation of achieving the incorporation of at least 2,500,000 young people to their productive, training and social support plans.

This was reported by the Head of State during the journey of relaunching the Mission Chamba Juvenil, held in the Plaza Bicentenaria (Bicentennial Square) in Miraflores, during which he announced that this staff will be chaired by the head of the System of Missions and the “Somos Venezuela” (We are Venezuela) Movement, Melvin Maldonado. The ministers for Education, University Education, for the Social Process of Work, Productive Agriculture and Lands, Urban Agriculture, for Ecosocialism, Food, Industry and Energy, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Indigenous Peoples and Health will form part of the aforementioned General Staff, the Ministers for Culture, Interior, Justice and Peace; Habitat and Housing, Electric Power, Public Works, Foreign Relations, heads of the Youth Corporation, Inces, Youth of the Neighborhood, National Movement of Recreation, among others. During his speech, the national president highlighted the importance of Misión Chamba Juvenil by qualifying it as “The outstretched hand of the Revolution for the youth of the country, so that they know that we are here and for them to come to study and work”.

In this sense, he instructed to start this Wednesday, May 5 and until December 5, the process of opening and updating the data of the Gran Misión Chamba Juvenil, with the aim of adding at least 2,500,000 young people to their different productive, training, sports and cultural programs in general: We have from today, May 5, to December 5 to attract young people who are unemployed, disenchanted, inventing things, disconnected from study and work so that we can go to a great journey that allows us to attract those who need help and offer to all that youth an opportunity to study, work, of joy, of connecting with society, with life”, said Maduro.

Seven vertices:

At the event, the Head of State presented the seven vertices and their main objectives, including:

1) Opening of the registration and updating of data of the youth who want to study, work and training, even house by house if necessary.

2) To set up, in order to start on June 1, 24,000 Chamba Juvenil brigades that will travel the country to generate new formations.

3) Chamba Juvenil Técnica (Technical Youth Job): Creation of the technological trades program through the Inces, to incorporate 250,000 young people.

4) Labor insertion: Incorporation of 200,000 new young graduates to work. Between now and December 5.

5) In the productive scope, 300,000 new young and productive entrepreneurs supported with financing and advice.

6) Housing plan: 200,000 housings for young people who have formed a family, with a secure roof.

7) The debate, consultation, collective relationship and approval of the law of the Gran Misión Chamba Juvenil, to guarantee youth work as a right: “We are going to guarantee the Gran Chamba Juvenil as a right in an Organic Law, approved by the National Assembly”, said Maduro.

So far, 1,823,416 young people are registered in the Gran Chamba Juvenil, a Mission that promotes equity, justice and social inclusion of young people throughout the country.
