The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that the return of 306 Venezuelans is planned for this Thursday through the Vuelta a la Patria (Return to the Homeland) Plan:
“I have ordered an increase in all diplomatic efforts to bring back all Venezuelans from the United States. This Thursday, at 10:00 a.m., I have already coordinated with my colleague Diosdado Cabello, who is making the operational arrangements, for 306 migrants who will arrive via the Mexican airport,” the president announced during the inauguration of the Cebu Cattle Fair and its crossings, in the Bolívar Park in La Carlota, in Greater Caracas.
The president also explained that he had ordered Jorge Rodríguez, the special envoy for the Peace Negotiations with the United States, to increase all efforts to guarantee return flights for all detained migrants.
In this regard, he stated that “we are going to bring back all the migrants who have been detained (…) This is while we advance with the rescue of those kidnapped in concentration camps in El Salvador,” he stated.
