COVID: Venezuela registers a total of 316 new infections

This Tuesday the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodriguez, through the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19, informed the Venezuelan people that in the last 24 hours a total of 316 new infections were detected in our country (303 community and 13 imported cases).

She added that today, the state that registers the most new community cases is Zulia (160), with active infections in 7 municipalities, followed by other states: the Capital District (45) and Miranda (26).

Likewise, she added through her official account in the Twitter social network, that unfortunately in the last hours 5 Venezuelans died because of Covid-19: An 83 years old woman and a 66 years old man in Yaracuy, a 77 years old woman and a 77 years old man in Trujillo a 65 years old woman in Zulia.

Likewise, she added that exactly 303 days after the (start of) Coronavirus pandemic in Venezuela, these are the general statistics: – Total infections: 117,299 – Patients recovered: 111,175 (95%) – Current active cases: 5,046 – Total deaths: 1,078

Finally, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, pointed out that in Venezuela we continue to advance with the 7+7 scheme and as President Nicolás Maduro said in his Annual Message to the Nation: “It is a successful method that combines quarantine and production, economy and prosperity; guaranteeing the control of the virus and the protection of the people”.
