President Maduro bids farewell to José Vicente Rangel

This Saturday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, attended the Burning Chapel in homage to the journalist, left wing politician and former Executive Vice President, José Vicente Rangel Vale, in the Elliptical Room of the Legislative Palace, in Caracas.

The Head of State expressed his pain at the physical departure of the outstanding, and held a symbolic Guard of Honor together with the First Combatant, Cilia Flores; the president of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), Diosdado Cabello; the president of the Judicial Power and the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Maikel Moreno; the Comptroller General of the Republic, Elvis Amoroso; and the President of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Indira Alfonzo.

During his speech, the national president asserted that “We have come to give a word of condolences to the family of a friend, a protector, to give him a hug of solidarity, of true pain, for this truly irreparable loss.”

“We want to deliver our word on behalf of an entire people and the perfect civic-military union of this Revolution, for his family and also for our people, who have always acknowledged his career in life,” he said.

Likewise, he instructed to collect and compile audiovisual and written documents on the speeches, approaches, ideas of Rangel in his long life trajectory to leave to posterity 75 years dedicated to the history of Venezuela: “To build a powerful documentary about his life so all Venezuelans know it, that in schools is studied the life and legacy, the ideology of José Vicente Rangel.”
